CLC Performing Arts Center Announces Full List of Summer Events
The Central Lakes Community Performing Arts Center has announced a full summer season of plays, musicals, concerts and films. All events will take place outdoors on the Summer Stage located on the South Lawn of the Brainerd Campus of Central Lakes College.
“We have adapted to the pandemic by either broadcasting our events live or producing plays using television / cinema techniques,” Central Lakes College theater director Patrick Spradlin said. “If we have succeeded in producing our work, the key element has always been absent: a live audience, present in the space with the performers. This summer, we hope to take the first important steps to return to this “normal” mode. “
The four music concerts are titled “Homegrown Music Series”. The Brainerd Community Theater will present a comedy and a musical. All three films will be at the family rate and free to the public.
All the titles and times of the three free films are available on the website of the performing arts center. website.
“We hope to see a lot of people come and enjoy these events,” said Spradlin. “As a community, we need to go back to days of fun, music and camaraderie.”
